Conversations with the St. Louis Fed Regional Events

Thank you for visiting the Conversations with the St. Louis Fed webpage. In 2023 and 2024, Conversations to the St. Louis Fed returned to an in-person format. These events were held across the 8th district by invitation. The Conversations with the St. Louis Fed program is designed as an open forum to address questions from Eighth District state member banks on key supervisory and regulatory topics. The intention is to continue the in-person format moving into 2025.

Conversations with the St. Louis Fed titled “Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Reform- Q&A”

On Thursday, July 21,2022 the latest edition of Conversations with the St. Louis Fed titled “Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Reform- Q&A” was held. During this session we heard from Supervisory Examiner Caleb Bobo (St. Louis Fed), Lead Supervisory Policy Analyst Alejandra Lopez-Fernandini (Board of Governors), and CRA Subject Matter Expert Jessica Farr (Atlanta Fed), as they provide an overview of the Interagency CRA Proposal that was released on May 5, 2022.

FAQs on the Scaled CECL Allowance for Losses Estimator (SCALE) Method and Tool

The Thursday, August 26, 2021, Conversations with the St. Louis Fed session featured Deputy Associate Director and Chief Accountant Lara Lylozian (Board of Governors), Lead Examiner Paul Oseland (Kansas City Fed), and Vice President Allen North (St. Louis Fed), as they addressed questions from the new CECL SCALE tool that was released on July 15, 2021.

Cybersecurity: Mission Possible

During this session you will hear from Vice President Allen North, Supervisory Examiners Carey Sharp and Nathan Goodson, and Supervisory Officer Megan Kahlenberg on recent cyber-events such as third-party breaches, ransomware attacks, zero-day vulnerabilities, and data losses. Presenters will offer their views on the best practices that can be drawn from these events and how bankers can better prepare themselves to respond to adverse cyber-related events.

Conversations with the St. Louis Fed December 3, 2020

The Thursday, December 3, 2020, Conversations with the St. Louis Fed session featured an update from Senior Vice President Carl White on the current state of the St. Louis Fed Supervision Division examination process, changes in rules and the extension of several Fed lending and liquidity facilities. He was joined by Assistant Vice President Doug Kerr from the Consumer Affairs unit, who discussed the Federal Reserve’s Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the Community Reinvestment Act.
